Members & Roles
Invite people to your organization and projects, and control what they can do with role-based access control (RBAC).
ℹ
Manage members under Organization Settings → Members (and per-project access in project settings). For the full permission model, see Roles & Access (RBAC).
Roles
Roles apply at the organization level and can be refined per project:
| Role | Typical capabilities |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full control — members, billing, settings, and all governance actions |
| AI Steward | Govern AI — approve models, set sanction/policy, review compliance evidence, manage guardrails |
| AI Developer | Build and operate — instrument apps, work with prompts/datasets/experiments, complete assigned compliance evidence |
ℹ
Governance workflows distinguish Stewards (who set policy and review) from Developers (who build and complete evidence). See Compliance → Requests & Review.
Inviting members
- Go to Organization Settings → Members.
- Invite by email and assign a role.
- The invitee accepts and gains access at the assigned role.
- Adjust or remove a member's role at any time.
Project vs. organization access
- Organization roles govern org-wide concerns (members, billing, SSO).
- Project access scopes what a member can see and do within a specific project.
